Privacy Policy

Effective: October 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SnapMyCards (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use SnapMyCards (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Information

3. Third-Party Providers

CardSight AI. To identify cards and retrieve pricing, the images and data you submit are transmitted to and processed by CardSight AI, Inc. As described in CardSight’s terms, CardSight may use submitted data to operate and improve its services and to train and refine its artificial-intelligence models. We do not control CardSight’s independent use of data under its own terms.

Amazon Web Services (AWS). We use AWS for hosting, database, file storage (your photos are stored in a private storage bucket), and Cognito authentication. Pricing estimates are derived from third-party marketplaces (e.g., eBay).

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages visited, how visitors arrived, approximate location by region, and device type. It sets cookies in your browser and sends this usage data to Google. It does not receive your card photos or your collection data. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on, or by using your browser’s tracking protection.

4. Storage and Retention

Your photos are stored privately and your collection data is stored in our database. We retain your information while your account is active and delete it upon your request or account closure, subject to routine backups and any legal retention requirements.

5. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

6. Children

The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit, private storage, and managed authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Staff Access to Your Account

To operate the Service, investigate problems you report, and respond to your privacy requests, authorized personnel can view a summary of your account: your email address, when you signed up, when you were last active, how many cards you have catalogued, and the total cost you entered for them. Access is restricted to accounts we have explicitly granted administrative permission, and every access is recorded in an internal audit log.

This summary does not include your card photos or the individual cards in your collection. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except the providers described in Section 3. If we ever need broader access to support the Service, we will update this Policy first.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
